Danielle Langord started playing the harp at an early age as the daughter of a classical harpist. She continued her studies with Alice Chalifoux at the Salzedo Harp Colony in Camden, Maine. Danielle attended Interlochen Arts Academy where she studied with Joan Raeburn Holland and graduated from UMass Amherst while under the tutelage of Ann Hobson Pilot of the BSO and New England Conservatory. Danielle is the applied harp instructor at Colby College in Waterville. She also teaches at 317 Main Street Community Music Center in Yarmouth and out of her home in Bath.
Danielle is in the process of recording a solo Celtic harp album to be completed this spring. She enjoys performing and touring both solo and with her celtic flute and harp duo “Naia”. She was recently heard on NPR’s “Thistle and Shamrock”. When she is not teaching and performing, she is busy caring for her two sons, Soren (8) and Bjorn (6).
Danielle is based in Maine but spends much of her time on Cape Cod.
